Preferences can be selected by first moving to the menu bar and clicking on Edit, then selecting the menu item "Preferences". This displays a dialog box having four tabs along its top edge. Clicking on any tab will show the page of choices connected to that tab.
Putting a check mark next to any of these choices selects that choice. Removing the check mark deactivates that choice.
These are the tab choices:
Download description embedded images displays all images a book's description may have. Images take longer to download so can be deactivated for slow connections.
Show status box when downloading will show the status box when downloading, whether the box is already displayed or not.
Clear keyword list deletes the keywords you used to search for books the next time you start Bookstore Assistant. If you prefer to reselect any of these words in a later search, leave this choice unchecked. You can clear the list immediately by clicking the "Clear now" button.
Empty Trash removes all the folders and their contents that were previously sent to the Trash (deleted). Checking this option empties the trash each time Bookstore Assistant is closed. The "Empty now" button can be used to immediately empty the trash folder.
Don't save folders on disk prevents Bookstore Assistant from saving your book selections on your computer's hard drive. This prevents someone from finding the book titles you're interested in, but also means you can't recover book data you've previously downloaded when you restart Bookstore Assistant.
